Our Story in Tanzania

Trey and Mariel Link in Tanzania

Trey first traveled to Sub-Saharan Africa on a mission trip in 2013. In 2018, he and Mariel made their first trip to Tanzania together, also through mission work. That trip began a lasting relationship with the country and eventually led to The Safari Link.

Now a family of six, they return to Tanzania with their children and experience the country in many of the same ways their clients do. They stay in the camps, travel the roads, meet the people behind the properties, and pay attention to what makes a trip work well.

Trey is an IATAN-certified travel advisor and focuses on the logistics, trusted guides, and overall flow of each safari. Mariel brings an eye for hospitality, family travel, and the creative details that make a journey feel special. They both help shape each itinerary around the people taking it.
